Blenheim sweet beauties

During my youth, I lived for a time with some dear friends who had a beautiful backyard orchard. I had the privilege of learning to prune, thin, and harvest each variety of delectable fruit at it peak of perfect. My greatest delight was apricot season when we harvested, ate fresh, canned, and dried the most outstanding Blenheim apricots. I remember how we flattened them slightly on the screen trays, then stacked them under a cardboard box and lit the sulfer to smoking for the proper time, and then laid the trays out on the roof to dry the apricots in the sun. The memory of these perfect apricots has never left me, so when I found your farm online, I couldn't wait to order a whole box. I was not disappointed! Thank you for your labor of love in preserving the Blenheim apricot!! I would love to visit someday!

DRIED SLAB APRICOTS

Best 'cots I've eaten since my mother and I cut apricots together on my Uncle Settimo's ranch in Campbell, CA. I cut with my mother and earned money for school clothes. Best dried slabs we made for the family were from Moorpark apricots that tasted heavenly but at maturity were too soft to cut. We cut Blenheim's for commercial use. Your dried apricots (Blenheim's ?) are, for me, a blast from the past. A cousin moved to Hollister and told me about you. I lived on my Grandfather's ranch (Orlando Ranch) in Campbell.

Blenheim Apricots are my favorites and ordering from B&R Farms is a joy. The apricots arrived within a few days and were perfectly dried and ready to eat! In Arkansas, California apricots are hard to find and very expensive so I just order them from the farm.

The first time I had them was when I lived in Aromas and I met some of you at a chamber meeting. That was back in 2002-2010. While infrequently, I have purchased many of your products over the years. Dried Blenheim Apricots

These are the best dried apricots around. We used to live in Gilroy on acreage once owned by some of the Rossi Family. We inherited about 120 Blenheim apricot trees - they were old, but still producing. And, you couldn't find better tasting fruit. I think the very best use of apricots is either dried or made into jam. We moved away and it broke my heart to learn the new owners took out all the trees. I was so excited to learn about B&R farms and the apricots are wonderful. We eat them as snacks and I put them in pound cakes and Sachertorte cakes. I also give packages of them as gifts.

these are the sweet and yummy. love dried apricot, my gramma had apricots and prune ranch in Santa Clara Cal. on Cox avenue. I have cut apricot as a kid and watch my as they dried the apricots and would eat them all the time.. Miss not having a ranch where they were grown and dried. so I found you and have order several times. eat them every day.

Your dried apricots are delicious. I use them to make a very simple Christmas cookie . These cannot be made with mediterranean apricots, only the tangy California apricot. Equal parts dried sweetened coconut to finally chopped apricots, then mixed with sweetened condensed milk to a gooey mixture, bake at 350 till brown around the edges. These are delicious, please share, only to be made with California dried Apricots.

I was delighted to receive them!! I love your apricots tart flavor. I was surprised by them because they almost look like seconds. The pieces are not consistent, they are like the leftovers. I have purchased California apricots before, but never received such odd pieces. I still love them just surprised by the shapes and sizes.

Growing up in Hollister my favorite time of year was always apricot season. Now that I'm an adult and living on the other side of the country I order these a few times a year in order to stave off the homesickness. No one else understands my distain for store bought dried apricots until I have them try these, then they are changed! These are perfect for snacking, cooking, and everything in between! Thank you for continuing this legacy while so many others are shuttering their doors, and thank you for bring a little bit of sunshine to the dreary East Coast!

Delicious!

I feed a large family (especially during this pandemic with six teenagers in the house). I've been shifting my purchases of lots of things that I can't get from the farmers market to making them direct from growers- almonds, dates, and now dried apricots. I love them and use them as sweet treats as well as in baking and cooking. These are so delicious. The color is beautiful and they're perfectly chewy and tangy. The grower got the amount of sulfur dioxide just right on these- enough to preserve color and flavor. I'm also finding that they're easier on my digestive system than the store-bought ones. I suspect that's because of lower amounts of sulfur. I'll definitely purchase from them again.

Slab dried Apricots

I'm very happy to have found B&R Farms online. I've searched the grocery stores in vain for California apricots to use fro making fried pies, an old family tradition that I"m trying to keep alive. I now have my daughter and son-in-law on board with making them, but nothing will do like California apricots. Two of the four pound bags gives us plenty for pies and for snacking. They are delicious right out of the package.

The best ever !

Every year I order 4 lbs of these delicious Blenheim California apricots for gifts. They are far superior to Turkish apricots in every way. I can't say enough good things about their flavor. I can't enjoy any commercially sold inferior tasting fresh apricots since my father's tree quit bearing, but these remind me of his.

Dear Blenheims!

I grew up in the Santa Clara Valley when it was orchards and dairies. I know what tree ripe fruit tastes like. I lived in the Hollister area for almost 30 years and was sad to see orchards, especially apricots, being taken out. No other apricot matches the flavor and sweetness of the Blenheim and I am happy to find a place where I can buy these dried beauties. This order is going to a dear friend in Germany who is celebrating her 90th birthday!

Delicious, similar to what Trader Joes were selling. Also, I remember this type of apricot being sold in a small box at the grocery store. Boil them lightly and smash them down to make an apricot spread. You can't go wrong with the real taste of apricot.

These are my favorite go-to dried apricots. I like the tartness with hint of sweet. In my opinion, Sweet Beauties are the perfect snack or use in cooking or baking. A 1 lb. bag definitely will not last ; go for the 4 lb. bag minimum :-)

Dried slab Blenheim apricots

Dried slab Blenheim cots. These are the best! Taste absolutely wonderful and naturally sweet, plus since they are slabs the sizes are varied which is great for my husband and me. I love the smaller size and he likes the larger size so we are both happy. So are our guests that we share them with. They seem especially sweet because they are so ripe.

I am a big fan of the slab apricots because they are so sweet! Big plus they are cheaper than the others! They are a snack for me so I don't mind pulling them apart - the apricot flavor is so intense you know they were tree-ripened. Ban the Turkish ones - they are so blah compared to the real California fruit.

I rarely do online reviews, but had to comment on these incredible apricots! I wholeheartedly concur with reviewer Wendy, who grew up in Silicon Valley and has fond memories of cutting and drying her own homegrown apricots in Los Altos. Identical memories for me. I remember that the overripe cots that were so soft and difficult to handle with the paring knife ended up being the best eating by far. That's the B&R Sweet Beauties in spades! Perfect combination of sweet and Blenheim tart flavors that's impossible to match. I go through withdrawal when our supply runs out!

Better quality for less money!

B&R Farms offers the most delicious dried apricots I have ever tasted. I order 24 lbs. at a time and store them in my extra refrigerator. They are always perfect for snacking and baking. I just would not be without them! It doesn't hurt that they are less expensive and much better than supermarket apricots. And I really love the 20% discount promos!

Beautiful (and tasty) local cots

Dried apricots are a stable in our house when fresh are out of season. There's nothing better than slabbed Blenheims, and so great to find these from local grower B&R farms. Fresher, more flavorful and lower priced than the ones we used to get at Trader Joe's.

I LOVE these cots!! Nothing like them is available across the country... They bring me back home with every chew. I purchase 4 lb bags and keep a glass canister filled with cots ready for healthy daily snacking .... they don’t last long!! Slab Apricots are da BESTEST!!!!!

The best Slab Dried Apricots

Grew up around apricot orchards so now living in the Eastern US these give me the best option for enjoying apricots. These are the best I've found and we buy 25 pounds every year (sometimes twice). You won't be disappointed.

I order these slivers of summer sent to me in Washington. I was delighted to learn after I moved here that I could still get them from B&R Farms. I used to buy them at the Monterey Farmers Market. They are still just as delicious; I have to ration them for myself!

Slab Apricots

These dried apricots are like the ones we got from a relative in California when I was a kid. They are soft but still a little chewy, and they have an intense apricot flavor and just the right sweetness. Wonderful!

BEST APRICOTS AVAILABLE IN TODAYS MARKET!

We come from 3 generations of apricot ranchers in Northern California. Didn't think it was still possible to find tasty apricots. We hit the jackpot with these! We like them a little drier so we place a few on a plate and let the air dry them for a few hours before eating them, either way these apricots are delicious!

Perfection!

If I were stranded on a desert island these apricots would be all I needed! I have been searching every local supermarket and specialty store for delicious California slab apricots. Unfortunately the few options I did find had the texture and flavor of pencil erasers. These are heaven-sent and now our family is addicted. And how sweet it is!

These slab apricots are perfect for eating and will work very well for pies. The B&R apricots have a beautiful taste like nothing found in any grocery around here. They are well worth the short wait to get them to your home.

Slab apricots

I have bought B&R Farms Slab apricots many times. They are the best in my humble opinion. They are moist and full of flavor. We eat them as they come out of the package and bake with them.

The Best Dried Apricots

These are the best dried apricots, at a reasonable price. They beat anything that's available to me at the grocery store, and are sweet, tart, and moist all at the same time. I buy them in 4 pound bags a few times a year.
